Fabulous Afternoon Tea
Came here for an afternoon tea and was blown away! The servers were very attentive and there was an amazing spread. Also had some cocktails and these were also very good. Would definitely recommend.

The menu takes its inspiration from faraway cities, countries and cultures, with a beautifully curated cocktail list to match. Take a jaunt around the world with creative cocktails from Cairo to Casablanca, Reykjavik to Rio and Beijing to Barcelona.
Contemporary dishes and deluxe afternoon teas
Le Monde offers sophisticated dining with a focus on flavour and elegance. Menus combine global inspiration with local Scottish produce from land and sea.
Sample dishes include the starters of whisky cured salmon with apple remoulade and blinis, or chicken wings with watermelon hot sauce and Hebridean blue cheese dip. Choice picks from the mains include roast cod fillet with pressed potato terrine and hispi cabbage; fried gnocchi with pumpkin, sage & kale, and chicken katsu with sticky rice and pickled cucumber.
The ritzy afternoon tea is served on a three tier rose gold stand and includes Prosecco on arrival. Guests can enjoy a variety of freshly cut sandwich bites, beautiful cakes, buttery scones and plentiful tea or coffee. And to be extra swish, you can upgrade to the luxury afternoon tea with a chilled glass of Laurent-Perrier Champagne.

Le Monde is based centrally on Edinburgh’s George Street, not far from Waverley Station. The Scottish National Gallery, Museum on the Mound and Queen Street Gardens are all nearby. You could also stop in here after shopping at Harvey Nichols or Waverley Mall, both just five minutes away.
