  Great food at Oregano at eagle lodge

  Although food and service was great, I was disappointed that the 5pm menu was very short on arrival compared to what we have had before on previous occasions.

  Always good.

  Great value for money. Good choice of food. Would recommend the haggis starter, we had half pizza and half pasta to share.

Glasshouse restaurant with al fresco dining area

A comfortable and relaxed neighbourhood meeting place, Oregano Restaurant is part of The Eagle Lodge nestled in the heart of East Dunbartonshire. Many visitors choose to eat in the impressive Glasshouse dining room although the heated terrace also has many fans in the warmer months. The menus have a wide appeal and attract working lunches, family dinners and couples. The venue’s function suites mean that The Eagle Lodge plays a large role in the local community and Oregano is a firm favourite with local diners.

International and traditional dishes

Oregano offers several menus which serve the wishes of everyone from lunchtime workers and senior citizens to a la carte couples and families enjoying a Sunday roast. From pizza and pasta to katsu curries and fajitas, the dishes draw inspiration from all over the world with perhaps a slight emphasis on Italy and the Med.

Traditional British comfort food is well represented and there is an impressive selection of steaks and burgers. Staff particularly recommend the penne Irroco made with Cajun chicken, chorizo, onion, chilli and cream.

Bishopbriggs transport links and attractions

Oregano Restaurant is part of The Eagle Lodge on Hilton Road in Bishopbriggs. The venue has ample free parking and the nearest train station is Bishopbriggs, a ten minute walk from the restaurant. The area has excellent bus links to and from Glasgow city centre. Bishopbriggs Golf Club and The Leisuredrome are among the local attractions.
