    Fabulous!

Have passed this restaurant many times and never visited! But that all changed on Sunday evening, my friend and I were heading to the Armadillo for an 80s concert “Lost in Music “ and we managed to get a last minute booking at Fanny Trollopes. From the moment we walked in the door, to be greeted by Harry we knew we had made the right choice, what a fabulous front of house chap he is, greeted us both by using our names, something that is lost sadly in the hospitality industry. He made us feel so welcome and comfortable, helped with the menu in our choice of food and drinks which were fabulous, the Malbec was delicious and our steaks were superb, cooked to perfection! Thank you Harry for a wonderful start to our evening and also thanks to the staff behind the scenes in the kitchen who rarely get praise from the customers! We will definitely be back.

Scottish bistro in Glasgow’s West End

A bustling neighbourhood bistro, Fanny Trollopes focuses on honest and seasonal Scottish food that is locally sourced and skillfully prepared. It is located in Finnieston half way down the West End side of Argyle Street.

Local, Scottish produce

The Scottish based menus at Fanny Trollopes change daily depending on what is available from local producers however a typical starter would be warm smoked mackrel with a soft poached egg.

Quality meat features well on the menu such as the Perthshire Venison casserole served with honey roasted root vegetables or the Ramsays of Carluke belly of pork with colcanon potatoes.
