We will return
We arrived at Dal Pizzialo only to find that it was unlicensed. We were a bit disappointed at this. The waitress (who couldn't have been more helpful) said that we could bring in a bottle of wine and they would provide glasses etc. There is an off-licence just across the road. The food was lovely and we felt that it was great value for money. We shall certainly be back.

Finnieston pizza restaurant
Run by the same team as next door’s Villa Toscana Restaurant, Dal Pizzaiolo is a welcoming pizzeria on Argyle Street. A family-friendly restaurant, the stone walls are hung with scenes of Italian street life. Alternatively, diners can gaze out of the windows at the Finnieston street life. We prefer to gaze at the cake selection.
Wide range of pizza and more
With some sixteen variations on offer, pizza are very much at the heart of Dal Pizzaiolo. Made fresh in-house, they range from a simple Margherita to the topping packed Capricciosa featuring tomato sauce, mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, artichokes, anchovies and capers. They also offer everything from a breakfast bombolone – doughnut filled with Nutella or cream – to panini, focaccia and light bites such as arancini. Did we mention the cakes?
As well as a lunch menu, there is a concert menu aimed at visitors to the nearby SEC and Hydro. The two course concert menu is admirably brief and offers three starters and, for the main course, a choice of one pizza option or two pasta dishes.
Finnieston transport and attractions
Dal Pizzaiolo is on Argyle Street, Finnieston. As mentioned, the SEC and Hydro are a short walk.
Other attractions include Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery. There is limited on-street car parking. The nearest train station is Exhibition Centre.
